Some small amount of fog early leaving Arcata but not bad... Using #101 down to Willits for breakfast...
Near Ukiah we stopped in to the Parducci Winery for a tasting and a look around...
On to Santa Rosa and #12 where we stopped for lunch in Napa for some taco's...
Just prior to transferring onto the I5, a small car had an accident right in our midst... It began as Jacques rode past the car... It's front end dipped because of putting on the breaks and it began sliding as it passed Bill H... By the time it reached us (Bill & Barbara), it was sliding sideways right towards us... I swerved right and it just missed us where it continued to slide back into it's own lane and crash into the bridge wall... We all were grateful for not getting involved with this one... Barbara took more than an hour to get over this one...
On I5, Bill V. wanted a break and Jacques picked one and we all filled up... We all did this fill up without first looking at the price on the pump... It was $3.67 for regular... Jacques using the higher priced blend paid even more... What a gyp... The very next stop was selling regular for $2.99 like most of the rest of the stops...
That next stop was in Santa Nella where we did go in to have pea soup at Andersons and then break for the evening...
