I left home at 6:45AM to meet Ron Peet & John Wirtz at the Shell on hwy #2 (Angeles Crest Offramp)... Immediately left at 7AM... We rode on I210, to I15 through Victorville to Barstow where we had Breakfast and filled up.
Changed to US 40 and then on to Needles where we went over the Colorado River on the Red Rock Bridge at about noon. Temp was 109° when we went across the bridge... We stopped there at Exit #9 for gas…
We stopped near Kingman for lunch at a “German” food place… It was OK…
For the night, Ron & John stayed in Williams while I called my friend Gary Wong and invited myself to stay over the night. I went to Prescott by backtracking #40 to Ash Fork and down #84.
Kathy was out of town so Gary and I had dinner at a small restaurant that served great Blackened Salmon and a very interesting Merlot... Gary and I visited and he took me to see downtown Prescott. Very quaint.
