Day Ride
 

Date:            Sunday November 19, 2006

Destination: Yucca Valley Motorcycle Museum

The ride began in  Pasadena and went to Jacques and then over to Bill Haywards son's home in La Quinta...   Bill's daughter-in-law  rode on the back of his trike...  All were happy with the hospitality of Bill's family.

Destination: 94th Aero Squadron Van Nuys

Attending:    Jim & Jackie Warren,  William Hayward,  Dal & Gwenn,  Marlene & Fred

Destination: Fallbrook Area

Steve Sandow and some friends took a ride that went through the Lake Elsinore Area and over the hills towards Fallbrook...  Jim Warren mentioned the bad experience created when Bill Vest led them through that same area and ended up on some dirt roads...

Yearly Dues

It is now time to pay up for the dues of 2007.  Members are responsible for the $24.00 and Friends pony up just half that at $12.00.

The plan is to go to the Motorcycle convention in Long Beach at the Convention Center on Saturday December 9...   Meeting place is the Fountain on the corner of Riverside Drive and Los Feliz in Glendale.

The date and location chosen is Dal & Gwenn's on December 16 at 2:00pm...

Ride Schedule Meeting

The date and location chosen is Fred & Marlene's on Sunday,  January 14, 2007.  Activities begin at 12:00 Noon...   A reminder is that we voted to schedule the entire year's rides and dinners at this meeting. 

This meeting will replace the regularly scheduled meeting normally held on the first Tuesday of each month.

I am VERY happy with my controllers and heated gear...   The grips are convenient because I just turn them on and there is the heat...  The liner I turn on in the parking lot at work and need to turn it down before I leave the Airport...

Above are the two websites of Warm & Safe Heated Gear and EBay Cyclebits.  Cyclebits is where I made the purchase of my new Heated Grips from Hot Grips and Heated Jacket liner along with two heat-troller controllers.  For the controllers I got the the dash mounted version made by Warm&Safe.  Heat-Troller® is the best variable controller money can buy.  The specks are listed on their WEB site.

Hot Grips are normally $110.00 and SHG Heat Troller is $59.95 or a total of $170.00. On Ebay I got a $35.00 savings when buying both at the same time...   For the jacket liner and the second controller,  I paid full price..
